Ingredients

20 large jumbo pasta shells

2 cups ricotta cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1 cup grated parmesan cheese

1 large egg

2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (plus more for garnish)

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

4 cups marinara sauce (store-bought or homemade)

1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (for topping)

A sprinkle of red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

Cook the Shells: In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the jumbo pasta shells and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside to cool.

Prepare the Cheese Filling: In a large mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, 1 cup mozzarella cheese, 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, egg, parsley, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.

Stuff the Shells: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Using a spoon, carefully stuff each cooked shell with the cheese mixture. Place the filled shells in a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.

Add Marinara Sauce: Pour the marinara sauce evenly over the stuffed shells, ensuring they are well covered. Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella and parmesan cheese on top of the sauce.

Bake: Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. After 25 minutes, remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

Garnish and Serve: Remove from the oven and allow to cool for about 5 minutes. Garnish with additional chopped parsley and red pepper flakes if desired. Serve warm and enjoy your cheesy comfort food delight!
