Ingredients

1 lb ground turkey

1 medium onion, diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 packet taco seasoning

1 can (10 oz) diced tomatoes with green chilies, undrained

1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent rolls

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup shredded lettuce

1 cup diced tomatoes (for topping)

½ cup sour cream (for serving)

Fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)

Optional: sliced black olives and jalapeños for added flavor

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Cook the Turkey: In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground turkey and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spatula, approximately 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat.

Add Vegetables and Flavor: Stir in the diced onion and minced garlic, cooking until the onion is translucent—about 3-4 minutes. Mix in the taco seasoning and canned tomatoes, cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through. Remove from heat.

Prepare the Crescent Rolls: On a parchment-lined baking sheet, unravel the crescent rolls, and arrange them in a circular shape with the wide ends overlapping in the center, forming a star shape. Leave the tips of the triangles hanging over the edges.

Add the Filling: Spoon the turkey mixture evenly over the wide ends of the crescent rolls. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top of the turkey mixture.

Fold and Seal: Starting with the wide ends, fold the triangular points over the filling, tucking them underneath to create a ring. Ensure there are no gaps for the filling to escape.

Bake: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the crescent rolls are golden brown.

Garnish and Serve: Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Cut into wedges to serve with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, sour cream, and chopped cilantro. Optional toppings include sliced black olives and jalapeños.
