Ingredients

1 lb pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1 cup sliced pepperoni

1/2 cup sliced bell peppers (red, green, or yellow)

1/4 cup sliced black olives

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1 egg (for egg wash)

2 tablespoons olive oil

Marinara sauce (for dipping)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Prepare the Dough: Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface into a rectangular shape, about 12x16 inches.

Layer the Fillings: Sprinkle half of the mozzarella cheese evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges. Then layer the pepperoni slices on top, followed by bell peppers, black olives, and the remaining mozzarella cheese. Finish with a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder.

Roll the Stromboli: Carefully roll the dough tightly starting from one long side to the other, keeping the fillings intact as much as possible. Pinch the seams and ends to seal the stromboli.

Prepare for Baking: Place the rolled stromboli seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet. Whisk the egg and brush it over the top of the stromboli to give it a golden color while baking.

Make Slits: Use a sharp knife to make a few diagonal slits on top of the stromboli, allowing steam to escape and creating an aesthetic finish.

Bake the Stromboli: Drizzle the top with olive oil and bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and crispy.

Cool and Serve: Let the stromboli cool for a few minutes before slicing it into individual pieces. Serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping.
