Ingredients

1 cup (225g) unsalted butter, melted

1 ¾ cups (350g) granulated sugar

2 large eggs

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

1 tablespoon red food coloring (gel or liquid)

1 cup (125g) all-purpose flour

½ cup (50g) unsweetened cocoa powder

½ teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon baking powder

1 cup (175g) white chocolate chips (optional)

Cream cheese frosting (optional, for topping)

Instructions

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.

Mix Wet Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter and granulated sugar until combined.

Add Eggs and Flavorings: Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then stir in the vanilla extract and red food coloring until fully incorporated.

Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder.

Fold Dry into Wet: Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

Add White Chocolate Chips: If using, fold in the white chocolate chips for extra flavor and texture.

Bake: Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.

Cool: Remove from the oven and let the brownies cool in the pan for at least 15 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Frost (Optional): If desired, top with a smooth layer of cream cheese frosting once cooled.

Cut and Serve: Slice into squares and enjoy your ooey-gooey, fudgy red velvet brownies!
