Ingredients

1 box (8 slices) Texas toast (garlic flavor preferred)

1 cup pizza sauce

2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup sliced pepperoni

1/2 cup diced bell peppers (any color)

1/4 cup sliced black olives

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).

Prepare the Texas Toast: Arrange the Texas toast slices in a single layer on a baking sheet. You can line the sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.

Add Pizza Sauce: Spread a generous tablespoon of pizza sauce over each slice of Texas toast, making sure to cover it evenly.

Layer the Cheese: Sprinkle a good amount of shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the sauce on each slice. Be generous for that gooey goodness!

Add Toppings: Distribute the sliced pepperoni, diced bell peppers, and sliced black olives evenly over the cheesy Texas toast slices.

Season It: Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese, dried oregano, and red pepper flakes (if using) over the top of all the slices for added flavor.

Bake: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 10-12 minutes, or until the edges of the Texas toast are crispy, and the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.

Garnish and Serve: Remove from the oven and let it cool for a minute. Garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired. Slice into halves or quarters and serve hot!
