Ingredients

1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

1/2 cup pepper jack cheese, shredded

1/4 cup cream cheese

1/2 cup milk

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 teaspoon onion powder

1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for heat)

1 tablespoon cornstarch

1 tablespoon water

Salt to taste

Instructions

In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine the sharp cheddar cheese, pepper jack cheese, cream cheese, and milk. Stir continuously until the cheeses have completely melted and are smooth.

Add the garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper (if using), and season with salt to taste. Mix well to combine all the flavors.

In a small bowl, whisk together the cornstarch and water until smooth. Pour this mixture into the cheese sauce while stirring continuously.

Continue to cook the cheese sauce on low heat for an additional 2-3 minutes until it thickens to your desired consistency.

If the sauce is too thick, add a little more milk, stirring until the sauce reaches your preferred creaminess.

Remove from heat and serve warm as an indulgent dip for tortilla chips, drizzle over tacos, or use as a flavorful topping for nachos.
