1 lb chicken tenders

1/4 cup honey

1/4 cup soy sauce (low sodium)

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger (optional)

1 teaspoon rice vinegar

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)

1 cup panko breadcrumbs

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

2 eggs, beaten

Cooking spray or olive oil spray

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions
 

Prepare the Marinade: In a medium mixing bowl, combine honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger (if using), rice vinegar, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Whisk until well blended.

    Marinate the Chicken: Place the chicken tenders in a zip-top bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring it is well coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (or up to 2 hours for more flavor).

      Set Up for Breading: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Set up a breading station with three shallow bowls: one for flour, one for beaten eggs, and one for panko breadcrumbs.

        Bread the Chicken: Remove the chicken tenders from the marinade (letting excess marinade drip off). First, dredge each piece in the flour, shaking off the excess. Then dip in the beaten eggs, and finally coat with panko breadcrumbs. Press gently to ensure the breadcrumbs adhere.

          Air Fry the Chicken: Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray to prevent sticking. Place the breaded chicken tenders in a single layer in the basket (you may need to do this in batches). Lightly spray the tops of the tenders with cooking spray.

            Cook: Air fry the chicken tenders for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F or 74°C).

              Serve: Once done, remove the chicken tenders and let them rest for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley. Serve with extra honey garlic sauce on the side for dipping if desired!
