Ingredients

2 ribeye steaks (about 1 inch thick)

8 large shrimp, peeled and deveined

2 tablespoons olive oil

Salt and black pepper, to taste

2 cloves garlic, minced (for steak)

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

Juice of 1 lemon

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

For Garlic Mashed Potatoes:

2 pounds Yukon Gold potatoes, peeled and cubed

4 cloves garlic, peeled

½ cup heavy cream

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

Salt and pepper, to taste

Fresh chives, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Garlic Mashed Potatoes:

    - In a large pot, add the cubed potatoes and peeled garlic cloves. Cover with cold water and add a generous pinch of salt.

      - Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, then reduce to a simmer. Cook for 15-20 minutes or until the potatoes are fork-tender.

        - Drain the potatoes and garlic, then return them to the pot.

          - Add heavy cream, butter, salt, and pepper. Mash until smooth and creamy. Adjust seasoning to taste. Set aside, keeping warm.

            Marinate the Steaks:

              - In a small bowl, mix olive oil, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Rub this mixture over the ribeye steaks and let them marinate for at least 30 minutes at room temperature.

                Cook the Steaks:

                  - Preheat a grill or cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat.

                    - Sear the steaks for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, adjusting time for preferred doneness.

                      - In the last minute of cooking, add 2 tablespoons of butter to the skillet, spooning the melting butter over the steaks.

                        - Remove steaks from heat and let them rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

                          Prepare the Shrimp:

                            - In a large skillet, heat a little olive oil over medium heat. Add the shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until pink and opaque.

                              - Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the shrimp and toss to combine.

                                Plate the Dish:

                                  - On a large plate, place a generous scoop of garlic mashed potatoes.

                                    - Slice the rested steaks and arrange them beside the potatoes, top with sautéed shrimp.

                                      - Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and chives for a pop of color.
