Ingredients

For the Surf and Turf:

1 lb filet mignon or ribeye steak

1 lb lobster tail, split

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Fresh herbs (such as thyme or rosemary) for garnishing

For the Creamy Garlic Sauce:

1 tablespoon butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 tablespoon lemon juice

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Steak:

    - Take the steak out of the refrigerator 30 minutes before cooking to bring it to room temperature.

      - Season both sides of the steak with olive oil, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.

        Prepare the Lobster:

          - Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the lobster tails and cook for about 5–6 minutes until bright red. Remove from water, let cool slightly, and set aside.

            Cook the Steak:

              - Heat a grill pan or skillet over high heat. When hot, add the seasoned steak and sear for 4–5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or adjust time to your preferred doneness. Remove from heat and let it rest for 5 minutes.

                Prepare the Creamy Garlic Sauce:

                  - In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant but not browned.

                    - Pour in the heavy cream and simmer for about 3–4 minutes, stirring frequently.

                      - Gradually whisk in the grated Parmesan cheese until smooth. Season with lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Continue to cook, stirring until the sauce thickens (approximately 5 minutes).

                        Prepare the Lobster:

                          - While the sauce thickens, slice the lobster tails in half lengthwise and brush them with melted butter. Optionally, you can grill the lobster halves for an additional smoky flavor for about 3 minutes until they are slightly charred and heated through.

                            Plate the Dish:

                              - Slice the steak and arrange it on a large serving plate. Add the lobster tails alongside. Drizzle generously with the creamy garlic sauce.

                                - Garnish with fresh herbs and chopped parsley for a touch of color.

                                  Serve:

                                    - Serve immediately while hot, savoring this exquisite combination of surf and turf with creamy garlic sauce.
