Ingredients

2 cups crushed pretzels

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

3 tablespoons sugar

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1 cup powdered sugar

1 cup whipped topping (such as Cool Whip)

2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced

1 (6 oz) box strawberry flavored gelatin

2 cups boiling water

2 cups cold water

Instructions

Prepare the Crust: In a mixing bowl, combine the crushed pretzels, melted butter, and 3 tablespoons of sugar. Mix well until the pretzels are fully coated. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish to form a crust. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10 minutes. Allow to cool completely.

Cream Cheese Layer: In another bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with an electric mixer until smooth. Add in the powdered sugar and mix until well combined. Gently fold in the whipped topping until the mixture is light and fluffy. Spread this layer over the cooled pretzel crust, smoothing it out evenly.

Prepare the Strawberry Layer: In a separate bowl, dissolve the strawberry gelatin in boiling water. Stir well until completely dissolved. Add the cold water and mix well. Allow the gelatin mixture to cool to room temperature.

Add Strawberries: Once the gelatin is cool, add the sliced fresh strawberries to the mixture. Then, carefully pour this over the cream cheese layer in the baking dish.

Chill: Refrigerate the dessert for at least 4 hours, or until the gelatin is completely set.

Serve: Cut into squares and serve chilled. Enjoy the layers of sweet, creamy, and crunchy textures!
