Ingredients

For the Dough:

4 cups all-purpose flour

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) instant yeast

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup whole milk, warmed

1/2 cup water, warmed

1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

2 large eggs

For the Filling:

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced

2 tablespoons cornstarch

For the Topping:

1 cup powdered sugar

2 tablespoons milk

Fresh strawberries for garnish

Instructions

Make the Dough: In a large bowl, mix the flour, granulated sugar, yeast, and salt. In a separate bowl, combine the warmed milk, warmed water, melted butter, and eggs. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until a soft dough forms.

Knead the Dough: On a floured surface, knead the dough for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

Prepare the Filling: In a medium bowl, whip the softened cream cheese with granulated sugar and vanilla extract until smooth. Gently fold in the sliced strawberries and cornstarch until combined.

Roll Out the Dough: After the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out into a rectangle (about 16x24 inches) on a floured surface.

Assemble the Rolls: Spread the cream cheese and strawberry filling evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges. Starting from one long side, roll the dough tightly into a log. Cut the log into 12 equal pieces.

Second Rise: Place the rolls in a greased baking dish, cover, and let them rise again for about 30 minutes until slightly puffy.

Bake: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the rolls for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.

Make the Topping: While the rolls are baking, mix the powdered sugar and milk in a small bowl until you achieve a smooth drizzle consistency.

Glaze and Serve: Once the rolls have cooled slightly, drizzle the icing over them and garnish with fresh strawberries. Serve warm for a delightful treat!
