Ingredients

2 lbs beef brisket or flank steak, cut into 1-inch cubes

1 cup fresh pineapple juice

1/2 cup brown sugar, packed

1/4 cup soy sauce

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated

2 tablespoons rice vinegar

1 teaspoon sesame oil

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for spice)

1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water (for thickening)

2 tablespoons sesame seeds, for garnish

2 green onions, chopped, for garnish

Instructions

Marinate the Beef: In a large mixing bowl, combine beef cubes with pineapple juice, brown sugar, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, rice vinegar, sesame oil, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Cover and let marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight for maximum flavor.

Cook the Beef: Preheat your grill or stovetop pan over medium-high heat. Remove the beef from the marinade, allowing excess liquid to drip off. Reserve the marinade for later.

Sear the Beef: Grill the beef cubes for about 6-8 minutes, turning occasionally until they are browned and cooked to your desired level of doneness. Remove from heat and set aside.

Prepare the Glaze: In a saucepan over medium heat, pour in the reserved marinade. Bring it to a simmer, then reduce the heat. Mix the cornstarch with water and add it to the sauce, stirring constantly until it thickens (about 3-5 minutes).

Combine and Coat: Add the grilled beef back into the saucepan and toss to coat thoroughly with the sticky glaze. Let it simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes to absorb the flavors.

Serve: Transfer the glazed beef to a serving platter. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and chopped green onions for garnish.

Enjoy: Serve hot over steamed rice, noodles, or with a side of stir-fried veggies. Relish in the explosion of flavors!
