Ingredients

2 salmon fillets (about 6 ounces each)

1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

1 cup heavy cream

1/2 cup chicken broth

2 tablespoons Dijon mustard

1 tablespoon lemon juice

2 cloves garlic, minced

2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

Prepare the seafood: Rinse and pat dry the salmon fillets and shrimp. Season the salmon with salt, pepper, and half of the Cajun seasoning. Toss the shrimp in the remaining Cajun seasoning along with some salt and pepper.

Cook the salmon: In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Once hot, add the salmon fillets skin side down. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side until cooked through and golden brown. Remove the salmon from the skillet and set aside.

Sauté the shrimp: In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil and increase the heat to medium-high. Add the seasoned shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes until pink and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside with the salmon.

Prepare the Cajun cream sauce: In the same skillet, lower the heat to medium and add the minced garlic. Sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Then, stir in the heavy cream, chicken broth, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and the remaining Cajun seasoning. Bring the mixture to a simmer and allow it to thicken for about 3-4 minutes.

Combine: Once the sauce has thickened, add the cooked salmon and shrimp back into the skillet. Gently coat them in the Cajun cream sauce and let everything heat through for an additional 2-3 minutes.

Garnish and serve: Transfer the seafood to a serving platter, spooning additional sauce over the top. Garnish with chopped green onions and parsley. Serve with lemon wedges on the side.
