Ingredients

1 large flour tortilla (10 inches)

1 cup refried beans

1 cup spicy salsa (mild or medium, if preferred)

1 ½ cups shredded pepper jack cheese

½ cup cooked and crumbled chorizo

1 small red onion, thinly sliced

1 medium jalapeño, thinly sliced (seeds removed for less heat)

½ cup black olives, sliced

¼ cup fresh cilantro, chopped

1 avocado, diced (for topping)

1 lime, cut into wedges (for serving)

1 tablespoon olive oil

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Prepare the Tortilla: Lightly brush one side of the flour tortilla with olive oil and place it on a baking sheet, oil-side down.

Layer the Base: Spread the refried beans evenly over the top of the tortilla.

Add Salsa: Spoon the spicy salsa over the refried beans, spreading it out to cover the surface.

Cheese It Up: Sprinkle the shredded pepper jack cheese generously over the salsa, ensuring full coverage.

Top with Chorizo: Evenly distribute the crumbled chorizo, sliced red onion, jalapeño, and black olives across the cheese layer.

Season: Season with a pinch of salt and pepper to taste, if desired.

Bake: Place the pizza in the preheated oven and bake for about 12-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the edges of the tortilla are golden brown.

Garnish: Remove from the oven and let it cool for a minute. Sprinkle fresh cilantro on top and add diced avocado.

Serve: Cut into wedges and serve with lime wedges on the side for squeezing over the pizza.
