Ingredients

500g boneless chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces

2 tablespoons black pepper, freshly cracked

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 tablespoon oyster sauce

2 tablespoons cornstarch

1 tablespoon vegetable oil

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 inch ginger, minced

1 red bell pepper, sliced

1 green bell pepper, sliced

1 medium onion, sliced

2 tablespoons chili sauce (adjust to taste)

1 tablespoon sesame oil

Chopped green onions for garnish

Cooked rice or noodles for serving

Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, combine the chicken pieces with soy sauce, oyster sauce, and half of the black pepper. Marinate for at least 30 minutes.

After marinating, sprinkle cornstarch over the chicken and toss to coat evenly.

Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.

Once hot, add minced garlic and ginger, sautéing until fragrant, about 1 minute.

Add the marinated chicken to the skillet, stir-frying until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through, about 5–7 minutes.

Incorporate the sliced bell peppers and onion, continuing to stir-fry for an additional 3–4 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.

Add the remaining black pepper and chili sauce to the pan, stirring to ensure everything is well coated and heated through.

Drizzle sesame oil over the dish for added flavor and mix well.

Serve hot over a bed of cooked rice or noodles, garnished with chopped green onions.
