Sour Cream Beef Noodle Casserole

Ingredients
  

1 lb ground beef

8 oz egg noodles

1 medium onion, chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup

1 cup sour cream

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup frozen peas and carrots (thawed)

1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

1 tsp dried Italian herbs

Salt and pepper to taste

1 cup breadcrumbs (optional, for topping)

Instructions
 

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

    Cook the Noodles: In a large pot, boil salted water and cook the egg noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

      Brown the Beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef and cook until it's browned. Drain the excess fat.

        Sauté Vegetables: Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet with the beef. Sauté until the onion is translucent, about 3-5 minutes.

          Combine Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked beef mixture, cooked egg noodles, cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, shredded cheddar cheese, peas and carrots, Worcestershire sauce, Italian herbs, salt, and pepper. Mix until well blended.

            Transfer to Casserole Dish: Pour the mixture into a greased 9x13 inch casserole dish. Spread it evenly.

              Add Breadcrumbs (Optional): If you prefer a crunchy topping, sprinkle the breadcrumbs evenly over the top of the casserole.

                Bake: Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for another 15-20 minutes until golden and bubbly.
