Ingredients

4 chicken thighs (bone-in, skin-on)

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon cumin

1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)

Salt and pepper to taste

1 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite brand or homemade)

2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Fresh chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

Prepare the Marinade: In a large bowl, whisk together olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper to create a flavorful marinade.

Marinate the Chicken: Add the chicken thighs to the bowl, coating them thoroughly with the marinade. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours (or overnight for best results).

Preheat the Grill: About 30 minutes before grilling, preheat your grill to medium-high heat. If using charcoal, allow the coals to ash over and spread evenly.

Make the BBQ Sauce Blend: In a small saucepan, combine the BBQ sauce, apple cider vinegar, and Worcestershire sauce. Heat over low heat and stir until well mixed. Set aside.

Grill the Chicken: Remove chicken thighs from the marinade, allowing excess to drip off. Place them skin-side down on the preheated grill. Grill for 6-7 minutes or until the skin is crispy and browned.

Sauce It Up: Flip the chicken and brush a generous amount of the BBQ sauce blend over the top. Grill for another 6-7 minutes, brushing more sauce as they cook. Ensure internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).

Rest the Chicken: Once cooked, remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for about 5-10 minutes. This helps the juices redistribute for a tender bite.

Serve: Garnish with fresh chopped parsley for an added touch. Serve with extra BBQ sauce on the side, along with your favorite sides like coleslaw or corn on the cob.
