2 ribeye steaks (about 1 inch thick)

Salt and pepper to taste

2 tablespoons olive oil

2 cloves garlic, crushed

2 pounds Yukon Gold potatoes, peeled and cubed

1/2 cup heavy cream

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

Salt to taste

Pinch of nutmeg (optional)

Instructions
 

Prepare the Mashed Potatoes:

    - Place the cubed potatoes in a large pot and cover with cold salt water. Bring to a boil and cook until tender, about 15-20 minutes.

      - Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot. Add heavy cream, butter, salt, and nutmeg. Mash until smooth and creamy. Set aside and keep warm.

        Cook the Steak:

          - Season the ribeye steaks generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
