Ingredients

1 lb (450g) beef sirloin, thinly sliced against the grain

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon oyster sauce

1 tablespoon cornstarch

1 teaspoon sesame oil

1 tablespoon vegetable oil

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced

1 large bell pepper, sliced (any color)

1 cup broccoli florets

1 cup snap peas

1 small onion, sliced

2 tablespoons fresh black pepper (or to taste)

1 green onion, chopped (for garnish)

Cooked white rice or noodles (for serving)

Instructions

Marinate the Beef: In a bowl, mix the sliced beef with soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, and sesame oil. Allow it to marinate for at least 30 minutes to absorb the flavors.

Prepare the Vegetables: While the beef is marinating, wash and slice the bell pepper, onion, and garlic. Chop the ginger finely and prepare the broccoli and snap peas.

Stir-Fry the Beef: Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat. Add the marinated beef in a single layer. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until the beef is browned and cooked through. Remove the beef from the pan and set aside.

Sauté the Aromatics: In the same pan, add minced garlic and ginger. Stir-fry for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

Add the Vegetables: Add the sliced onion, bell pepper, broccoli florets, and snap peas to the skillet. Stir-fry for 4-5 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.

Combine Everything: Return the cooked beef to the pan. Sprinkle fresh black pepper (adjusting to your taste) over the mixture. Stir everything together, cooking for an additional 1-2 minutes to heat through.

Serve: Remove from heat and serve the savory black pepper beef delight over cooked white rice or noodles. Garnish with chopped green onion on top.
