Ingredients

1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough

1 pound breakfast sausage (bulk or casings removed)

1 (10 oz) can Rotel diced tomatoes with green chilies, undrained

1 block (8 oz) cream cheese, softened

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

½ teaspoon cumin

½ teaspoon black pepper

Optional: Chopped green onions or cilantro for garnish

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Cook the Sausage: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the breakfast sausage, breaking it up with a wooden spoon until it’s browned and fully cooked. Drain excess fat if necessary.

Mix Ingredients: Reduce the heat to low. Add the undrained Rotel, softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, and black pepper to the skillet. Stir continuously until the cream cheese is fully melted and the mixture is creamy and well combined. Remove the skillet from heat.

Roll Out Crescents: Unroll the crescent roll dough on a lightly floured surface. Separate the dough into individual triangles along the dotted lines.

Fill the Dough: Place a generous tablespoon of the sausage and cream cheese mixture at the wide end of each triangle. Roll the dough from the wide end towards the narrow end, wrapping the filling snugly inside.

Arrange on Baking Sheet: Place the crescents on the prepared baking sheet, seam side down, and leave some space between each one to allow for expansion.

Bake: Bake in the oven for about 12-15 minutes, or until the crescents are golden brown and puffed.

Garnish and Serve: Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly. If desired, garnish with chopped green onions or cilantro before serving.
