Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch springform pan.

Make the Red Velvet Cake Layer:

      - In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, baking soda, cocoa powder, and salt.

        - In a separate bowl, whisk together the vegetable oil, buttermilk, eggs, red food coloring, vanilla extract, and white vinegar.

          - Gradually combine the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just mixed.

            - Pour the batter into the prepared springform pan and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.

              - Let it cool completely in the pan on a wire rack.

                Prepare the Cheesecake Layer:

                  - In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with sugar until smooth.

                    - Mix in the sour cream, eggs, flour, and vanilla extract until well incorporated.

                      - Pour the cheesecake mixture over the cooled red velvet cake layer in the same springform pan.

                        Bake the Cheesecake:

                          - Bake at 325°F (160°C) for 40-45 minutes or until the center is set but still slightly jiggly.

                            - Turn off the oven, crack the door, and let the cheesecake cool slowly for about an hour to prevent cracking.

                              - Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to set properly.

                                Prepare the Strawberry Topping:

                                  - In a bowl, combine the sliced strawberries, sugar, lemon juice, and vanilla extract. Let it sit for about 30 minutes to macerate.

                                    Assemble and Serve:

                                      - Once the cheesecake has set, remove it from the springform pan.

                                        - Top with the macerated strawberries just before serving.

                                          - Optionally, decorate with whipped cream, chocolate shavings, or fresh mint leaves for an elegant touch.

Enjoy your beautiful and decadent Red Velvet Strawberry Cheesecake Delight!
