Ingredients

2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

1 cup sweetened condensed milk

1 teaspoon peppermint extract

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 cup white chocolate chips

2 tablespoons crushed peppermint candies (plus extra for topping)

Optional: Green food coloring (for a festive touch)

Instructions

Line an 8x8 inch baking dish with parchment paper, leaving a slight overhang for easy removal.

In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine the semisweet chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk. Stir continuously until melted and smooth.

Remove from heat and add the peppermint extract and salt. If desired, stir in a few drops of green food coloring to achieve a festive hue. Mix well.

Fold in the crushed peppermint candies until evenly distributed.

Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared baking dish, smoothing the top with a spatula.

In another microwave-safe bowl, melt the white chocolate chips in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until completely melted and smooth.

Drizzle or spread the melted white chocolate over the top of the fudge.

While the white chocolate is still wet, sprinkle additional crushed peppermint candies on top for extra crunch and decoration.

Refrigerate the fudge for at least 2 hours or until firm.

Once set, lift the fudge out of the dish using the parchment paper overhang and cut it into squares.
