Ingredients

For the Dough:

4 cups all-purpose flour

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) active dry yeast

1 teaspoon salt

1 cup whole milk, warmed to 110°F

1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

2 large eggs

For the Sticky Pecan Topping:

1/2 cup unsalted butter

1 cup packed brown sugar

1/4 cup light corn syrup

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup pecans, chopped

1 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)

For the Cinnamon Filling:

1/2 cup packed brown sugar

2 tablespoons ground cinnamon

1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened

Instructions

Prepare the Dough:

    - In a large mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of flour, sugar, and yeast. Mix well.

      - In a separate bowl, whisk together the warmed milk, melted butter, and eggs. Gradually add this mixture to the dry ingredients.

        - Stir in the remaining flour, 1/2 cup at a time, until the dough starts to come together.

          - Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth. Place in a greased bowl, cover with a kitchen towel, and let rise in a warm place until doubled in size (about 1 hour).

            Prepare the Sticky Topping:

              - In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in brown sugar, corn syrup, and vanilla extract. Bring to a simmer for about 2 minutes, mixing constantly.

                - Remove from heat and stir in the chopped pecans. Pour this mixture into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.

                  Prepare the Cinnamon Filling:

                    - In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and softened butter to form a paste.

                      Assemble the Rolls:

                        - Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out on a floured surface into a rectangle (about 16x24 inches).

                          - Spread the cinnamon filling evenly over the rolled dough. Starting from one long side, roll the dough up tightly into a log.

                            - Cut the log into 12 equal pieces and place them cut-side down into the sticky pecan topping in the prepared baking dish.

                              Second Rise:

                                - Cover the rolls with a kitchen towel and let them rise for about 30-45 minutes until puffy.

                                  Bake:

                                    - Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the rolls for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.

                                      Serve:

                                        - Allow the rolls to cool for 5 minutes, then invert onto a serving platter. Serve warm for the ultimate gooey experience.

Prep Time: 30 minutes | Total Time: 2 hours | Servings: 12 rolls
