Ingredients

12 oz ziti pasta

2 cups marinara sauce (store-bought or homemade)

1 cup ricotta cheese

1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

1 cup fontina cheese, shredded

1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated

1 cup Gorgonzola cheese, crumbled

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

1 tsp dried oregano

1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

Salt and black pepper to taste

1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped (for garnish)

1/2 cup breadcrumbs

2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the ziti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Mix Cheeses: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ricotta, mozzarella, fontina, Parmesan, and Gorgonzola cheeses. Stir until well mixed.

Combine Ingredients: In a large pot, combine the cooked ziti, marinara sauce, and cheese mixture. Add garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Mix until the pasta is evenly coated with the sauce and cheeses.

Prepare for Baking: Transfer the ziti mixture to a greased 9x13-inch baking dish. Spread it evenly.

Add Topping: In a small bowl, mix breadcrumbs with olive oil. Sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture evenly over the ziti. This will create a crunchy topping.

Bake: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.

Garnish and Serve: Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh basil before serving.
