If there's one ingredient that has captured the hearts (and taste buds) of chocolate lovers around the globe, it’s Nutella. This luscious hazelnut chocolate spread, which originated in Italy, has gained immense popularity since its introduction in the 1960s. Nutella’s smooth, creamy texture and rich flavor make it a favorite for spreading on toast, drizzling over pancakes, or simply enjoying straight from the jar. However, its versatility extends far beyond breakfast fare; Nutella is a star ingredient in countless desserts, and one of the most delightful ways to enjoy it is through the creation of truffles.

Ingredients

1 cup Nutella

1 cup graham cracker crumbs

½ cup cream cheese, softened

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup crushed hazelnuts (or other nuts for rolling)

½ cup cocoa powder (for rolling)

Pinch of sea salt

Instructions

In a mixing bowl, combine the Nutella, softened cream cheese, and vanilla extract until smooth and well incorporated.

Gradually add the graham cracker crumbs to the mixture, stirring until fully combined and a dough forms.

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate the dough for about 30 minutes, allowing it to firm up.

Once the mixture has cooled, use a tablespoon to scoop out portions and roll them into balls about 1 inch in diameter.

Prepare your rolling stations: place crushed hazelnuts in one bowl and cocoa powder in another.

Roll half of the truffles in the crushed hazelnuts until fully coated, and the other half in the cocoa powder.

Place the rolled truffles on a parchment-lined baking sheet and refrigerate for another 30 minutes to set.

Once set, serve chilled or at room temperature, and enjoy the rich, creamy bites of chocolate.

Prep Time: 30 min | Total Time: 1 hr | Servings: 24 truffles

                    - Presentation Tips: Arrange the truffles on a decorative plate and drizzle some melted dark chocolate over them for a glamorous touch. Add a few whole hazelnuts for garnish around the edges for a beautiful display!
