Ingredients

2 cups pomegranate seeds

2 large oranges, segmented

1 cup mascarpone cheese

1 cup heavy cream

1/2 cup powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup vanilla sponge cake, cut into cubes

Fresh mint leaves for garnish

Optional: Edible glitter for festive touch

Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form.

Gradually add in the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, continuing to whip until stiff peaks form.

In another bowl, gently fold the mascarpone cheese into the whipped cream until well combined.

To assemble the trifle, start by placing a layer of sponge cake cubes at the bottom of a clear trifle dish or individual dessert cups.

Add a layer of pomegranate seeds followed by a layer of mascarpone mixture.

Next, add a layer of orange segments and repeat the layering process until the dish is full, finishing with the mascarpone mixture on top.

Chill the trifle in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours to set.

Just before serving, garnish the top with fresh mint leaves and a sprinkle of edible glitter for a festive sparkle.
