Ingredients

8 oz. egg noodles (or your choice of noodles)

1 lb ground beef (85% lean)

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

1 medium onion, sliced

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced

2 cups broccoli florets

1 red bell pepper, sliced

1 carrot, julienned

3 green onions, chopped (for garnish)

1/4 cup soy sauce

2 tablespoons oyster sauce

2 tablespoons hoisin sauce

1 tablespoon sesame oil

1 tablespoon brown sugar

1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

Cook the Noodles: In a large pot of boiling water, cook the noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Prepare the Beef: In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula. This should take about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.

Add Aromatics: Add the sliced onion, minced garlic, and ginger to the skillet. Sauté for about 2-3 minutes until the onions are translucent and fragrant.

Add Vegetables: Stir in the broccoli florets, bell pepper, and carrot. Cook for another 4-5 minutes until the vegetables are tender but still crisp.

Make the Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, brown sugar, and crushed red pepper flakes (if using).

Combine Everything: Add the cooked noodles to the skillet along with the sauce. Toss everything together to ensure the noodles are well coated and heated through, about 2-3 minutes.

Serve: Remove from heat, garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds. Enjoy your delicious Mongolian Noodles with Ground Beef hot!
