Ingredients

1 large flour tortilla or pizza crust

1 cup refried beans

1 cup cooked ground beef or turkey (optional)

1 cup salsa (mild or spicy, based on preference)

1 ½ cups shredded Mexican cheese blend (cheddar, Monterey Jack, and queso blanco)

½ cup black olives, sliced

½ cup diced tomatoes

¼ cup chopped green onions

1 teaspoon chili powder

1 teaspoon cumin

1 tablespoon olive oil

Fresh cilantro for garnish

Sour cream for serving (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Prepare the Base: If using a tortilla, brush both sides of the tortilla with olive oil. If using a pizza crust, lightly oil the surface.

Spread the Beans: Evenly spread the refried beans over the tortilla or pizza crust, creating a nice layer that will serve as the base.

Add Ground Meat (if using): Sprinkle the cooked ground beef or turkey over the beans, distributing it evenly.

Layer with Salsa: Pour salsa on top of the meat or directly on the beans and spread it evenly.

Cheese it Up: Sprinkle the shredded Mexican cheese blend generously over the top, ensuring complete coverage.

Add Toppings: Scatter sliced black olives, diced tomatoes, and chopped green onions over the cheese. Sprinkle chili powder and cumin for extra flavor.

Bake: Transfer your pizza to the preheated oven and bake for about 12-15 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.

Garnish: Once out of the oven, let it cool for a couple of minutes, then garnish with fresh cilantro.

Serve: Cut into slices and serve hot with a dollop of sour cream on the side if desired. Enjoy your delicious Mexican fiesta pizza!
