Ingredients

8 slices of high-quality ham

8 slices of Swiss cheese

4 large hoagie rolls or sub buns

1/4 cup mayonnaise

2 tablespoons Dijon mustard

2 tablespoons honey

1 tablespoon butter (melted)

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Fresh parsley (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Prepare the Sauce: In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, honey, garlic powder, and black pepper until smooth. This will be your flavorful sauce.

Assemble the Sandwiches: Slice the hoagie rolls in half horizontally. Spread a generous tablespoon of the sauce on the inside of each roll. Layer 2 slices of ham and 2 slices of Swiss cheese inside each roll.

Brush with Butter: Place the assembled sandwiches on a baking sheet. Use a pastry brush to brush the tops of the rolls with melted butter for added flavor and a golden finish.

Bake: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the rolls are slightly golden.

Serve: Remove from the oven and let cool for a minute. Cut in half if desired, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve warm.
