Ingredients

4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)

2 tablespoons olive oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust for spice preference)

1 lemon, juiced and zested

1 teaspoon honey

1/4 cup white wine (or vegetable broth for non-alcoholic version)

2 tablespoons Dijon mustard

1/2 cup heavy cream

Salt and black pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Lemon slices, for serving

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Prepare the Marinade: In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, minced garlic, red pepper flakes, lemon juice and zest, honey, white wine (or broth), Dijon mustard, salt, and black pepper. Whisk until combined and smooth.

Marinate the Salmon: Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Let the salmon marinate for at least 15 minutes while the oven heats up.

Sear the Salmon: Heat a large, oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, sear the salmon fillets skin-side down for about 2-3 minutes until golden brown and crisp. Do not cook them all the way through.

Add Cream Sauce: Reduce the heat to medium and pour the heavy cream into the skillet around the salmon. Allow it to come to a simmer and let it cook for another minute.

Bake the Salmon: Carefully transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 8-10 minutes or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.

Serve: Remove from the oven and garnish the dish with chopped fresh parsley and lemon slices. Drizzle the creamy sauce over the salmon before serving.

Enjoy with a side: This dish pairs wonderfully with roasted asparagus or a light salad.
