Ingredients

1 cup elbow macaroni

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

1 cup milk

1 ½ cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

1 pound ground beef

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon paprika

4 large flour tortillas

½ cup cooked and crumbled bacon (optional)

1 cup shredded lettuce

½ cup diced tomatoes

¼ cup pickles

Ketchup and mustard (for serving)

Instructions

Cook the Macaroni: In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the elbow macaroni and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Prepare the Cheese Sauce: In the same pot over medium heat, melt the butter. Whisk in the flour and cook for about 1 minute until golden. Gradually add the milk, whisking continuously till the mixture thickens (about 3-5 minutes). Stir in the cheddar cheese, garlic powder, and onion powder. Season with salt and pepper. Mix until the cheese is fully melted and the sauce is smooth.

Combine Macaroni and Cheese Sauce: Add the cooked macaroni to the cheese sauce, stirring until fully coated. Set aside.

Cook the Ground Beef: In a skillet over medium-high heat, add the ground beef, Worcestershire sauce, and paprika. Cook for about 7-10 minutes, breaking apart with a spatula, until fully cooked. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Assemble the Burgers: Place large flour tortillas on a flat surface. In the center of each tortilla, layer a generous scoop of mac 'n' cheese followed by a portion of cooked ground beef. If desired, add crumbled bacon, shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and pickles.

Wrap It Up: Fold in the sides of the tortilla and then roll it up tightly from the bottom to secure the filling.

Grill the Wraps (optional): Heat a non-stick skillet or panini press over medium heat. Place the wraps seam-side down and grill for 2-3 minutes until golden brown and crispy. Flip and grill the other side.

Serve: Cut the wraps in half and serve with ketchup and mustard on the side.
