Ingredients

4 cups water

4 black tea bags (or herbal tea bags if preferred)

1/2 cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)

2 lemons (juice and zest)

1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Fresh mint leaves for garnish

Ice cubes

Instructions

Boil the water in a medium saucepan. Once it reaches a rolling boil, remove it from heat.

Add the tea bags to the hot water and let steep for 5-7 minutes, depending on desired strength.

While the tea is steeping, combine the granulated sugar, lemon juice, and lemon zest in a separate bowl. Stir until the sugar is dissolved.

Once the tea has steeped, remove the tea bags and pour the tea into the bowl with the sugar and lemon mixture. Stir well to combine.

Add the vanilla extract and mix thoroughly.

Allow the mixture to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until chilled.

To serve, fill glasses with ice cubes, pour the chilled tea over the ice, and garnish with fresh mint leaves.
