Ingredients

1 large loaf of Italian bread

½ cup unsalted butter, softened

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon salt

1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

½ cup ricotta cheese

1 cup marinara sauce (for dipping)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Slice the Italian bread in half lengthwise, creating two long halves.

In a mixing bowl, combine softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, dried oregano, and salt. Mix until well combined.

Spread the garlic butter mixture generously over the cut sides of the Italian bread.

On top of the garlic butter, spread ricotta cheese evenly across each slice.

Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese generously over the ricotta.

Place the prepared bread on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the edges of the bread are golden brown.

Once baked, remove from the oven and allow it to cool for a minute.

Cut the garlic bread into pieces and serve warm, accompanied by marinara sauce for dipping.
