Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon brown sugar

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon ginger, grated

1 tablespoon sesame oil

1 cup broccoli florets

1 cup shredded carrots

2 green onions, chopped

2 cups cooked rice (white or brown)

Sesame seeds for garnish

Sriracha (optional, for spice)

Instructions

Heat a large skillet over medium heat, then add the sesame oil.

Once hot, add the minced garlic and ginger, stirring for about 1 minute until fragrant.

Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spoon. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.

Stir in the soy sauce and brown sugar, mixing thoroughly to combine. Let it simmer for about 2 minutes.

While the beef cooks, steam the broccoli florets until tender, about 3-4 minutes.

In a separate bowl, combine the cooked rice, shredded carrots, and cooked beef mixture. Toss together gently until evenly mixed.

Serve the beef rice mixture into bowls, top with steamed broccoli, and sprinkle with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.

Drizzle with Sriracha if you desire some heat. Enjoy!
