Ingredients

1 tablespoon sesame oil

1 pound ground pork (or ground chicken/turkey)

1 cup coleslaw mix (shredded cabbage and carrots)

2 green onions, chopped

3 cloves garlic, minced

1-inch piece of ginger, minced

2 tablespoons soy sauce (or coconut aminos for a healthier version)

1 teaspoon rice vinegar

1 teaspoon chili paste (optional, for heat)

Salt and pepper to taste

Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)

Fresh cilantro for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Heat the Oil: In a large skillet, heat the sesame oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.

Cook the Meat: Add the ground pork to the skillet, breaking it into small pieces with a spatula. Cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat if needed.

Add Aromatics: Stir in the minced garlic and ginger, cooking for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

Incorporate Veggies: Add the coleslaw mix and chopped green onions, stirring well to combine. Cook for another 3-4 minutes until the cabbage is tender but still slightly crisp.

Season the Mixture: Pour in the soy sauce, rice vinegar, and chili paste (if using). Stir to ensure everything is well coated. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Serve: Remove from heat and transfer your mixture to bowls. Garnish with sesame seeds and fresh cilantro if desired.
