Ingredients

1 lb pork sausage (breakfast style)

1 cup cream cheese, softened

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup frozen corn, thawed and drained

½ tsp garlic powder

½ tsp onion powder

¼ tsp black pepper

1 package (12 oz) mini phyllo pastry cups

¼ cup fresh chives, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Start by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Prepare the Filling: In a large mixing bowl, combine the pork sausage, cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, thawed corn, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well incorporated.

Bake the Sausage Mixture: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage mixture, breaking it apart until the sausage is browned and cooked through (about 5-7 minutes). Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.

Fill the Phyllo Cups: Place the mini phyllo pastry cups on a baking sheet. Spoon the sausage mixture evenly into each cup, filling them generously.

Bake the Bites: Transfer the baking sheet to the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the phyllo cups are golden brown and crispy.

Garnish and Serve: Remove from the oven and let them cool for a minute. Sprinkle with chopped chives for garnish. Serve warm as a delectable party appetizer.
