Ingredients

2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

1 cup white chocolate chips

1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk

1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup crushed peppermint candies (or candy canes)

1/2 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans, optional)

1/4 cup dried cranberries or cherries (optional for a festive touch)

Instructions

Prepare the Pan: Line an 8x8 inch baking dish with parchment paper, allowing some overhang, for easy removal later. Set aside.

Melt the Chocolates: In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine semisweet chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, and sweetened condensed milk. Stir continuously until the chocolates are completely melted and the mixture is smooth.

Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the cocoa powder, salt, and half of the crushed peppermint candies until well combined.

Mix Everything Together: Remove the chocolate mixture from heat and stir in the dry ingredient mixture. Add the vanilla extract, and fold in the chopped nuts, if using, and dried cranberries for a pop of color.

Spread in the Pan: Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared baking dish, then spread it out evenly with a spatula. Press the remaining crushed peppermint candies on top for a festive finish.

Chill Until Set: Cover the fudge with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until completely chilled and set.

Cut and Serve: Once set, lift the fudge out using the parchment overhang and cut into squares or rectangles. Serve to your loved ones and enjoy the festive cheer!
