Ingredients

4 medium salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)

1/2 cup honey

1/2 cup fresh pineapple juice

1/4 cup soy sauce

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 tablespoon sesame oil

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional for heat)

1 cup fresh pineapple chunks (for grilling)

Fresh cilantro or green onions for garnish

Lemon wedges for serving

Instructions

Prepare the Marinade: In a mixing bowl, whisk together honey, pineapple juice, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, olive oil, sesame oil, black pepper, and red pepper flakes until well combined.

Marinate the Salmon: Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish or a large resealable plastic bag. Pour half of the marinade over the salmon, ensuring all fillets are coated. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes or up to 2 hours for maximum flavor.

Preheat the Grill: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. If using wooden skewers for the pineapple chunks, soak them in water for 30 minutes to prevent burning.

Prepare the Pineapple: Thread pineapple chunks onto soaked skewers for easy grilling.

Grill the Salmon: Remove the salmon from the marinade and shake off the excess. Place the fillets directly on the grill. Grill for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and has nice grill marks.

Grill the Pineapple: At the same time, place the pineapple skewers on the grill. Grill for about 3-4 minutes per side until they are caramelized and have grill marks.

Serve: Once cooked, remove the salmon and grilled pineapple from the grill. Drizzle the remaining marinade over the salmon for added flavor. Garnish with fresh cilantro or chopped green onions, and serve with lemon wedges on the side.
