Ingredients

2 pounds baby back ribs

1 cup honey

1/2 cup soy sauce

1/4 cup apple cider vinegar

1/4 cup ketchup

5 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon ground ginger

1 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional for heat)

Fresh cilantro or green onions (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).

Prepare the Ribs: Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs if it's still attached. Pat the ribs dry with paper towels.

Make the Marinade: In a bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, ketchup, minced garlic, ground ginger, black pepper, and red pepper flakes until well combined.

Marinate the Ribs: Place the ribs in a large resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the ribs, ensuring they're fully coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight for maximum flavor.

Bake the Ribs: Remove the ribs from the marinade (save the marinade for later) and place them on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil. Cover the ribs with another layer of foil. Bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 hours, until the ribs are tender.

Prepare for Grilling: While the ribs are baking, pour the reserved marinade into a saucepan. Bring it to a boil over medium heat, then reduce to a simmer for about 10-15 minutes, or until it thickens slightly.

Grill the Ribs: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Once the ribs have finished baking, carefully remove them from the foil and place them on the grill. Brush generously with the thickened marinade and grill for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until the ribs are caramelized and have grill marks.

Serve: Remove the ribs from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes. Slice between the bones and serve hot, garnished with fresh cilantro or chopped green onions.
