Ingredients

4 ripe peaches, peeled and diced

1 cup granulated sugar, divided

1 tablespoon lemon juice

2 cups heavy cream

1 cup whole milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon salt

Optional: pinch of cinnamon for added flavor

Instructions

Prepare the Peach Mixture:

    - In a medium bowl, combine the diced peaches, 1/2 cup of sugar, and lemon juice. Stir well to coat the peaches and let them sit for about 15-20 minutes to macerate. This will enhance their sweetness and flavor.

      Blend the Peaches:

        - After the peaches have macerated, use a blender to puree about half of the mixture until smooth (you can leave some chunky for texture). Set it aside.

          Make the Ice Cream Base:

            - In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the remaining 1/2 cup of sugar, heavy cream, whole milk, vanilla extract, and salt until the sugar is fully dissolved.

              Combine:

                - Gently fold the peach puree into the cream mixture. If desired, add a pinch of cinnamon here for extra flavor.

                  Chill:

                    - Cover the mixture and chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.

                      Churn:

                        - Pour the chilled mixture into your ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions until it reaches a soft-serve consistency.

                          Mix in Chunky Peaches:

                            - During the last few minutes of churning, add the remaining diced peaches for added texture.

                              Freeze:

                                - Transfer the churned ice cream to an airtight container and freeze for at least 4 hours or until firm enough to scoop.

                                  Serve:

                                    - Scoop the ice cream into bowls or cones and enjoy the taste of summer in every bite!

Prep Time: 20 minutes | Total Time: 6 hours (Includes chilling and freezing) | Servings: 6-8

Enjoy your delicious homemade peach ice cream, perfect for those hot summer days!
