Ingredients

2 lbs chicken wings

1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

2 tbsp olive oil

2 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice

1 tbsp lemon zest (from about 2 lemons)

1 tbsp black pepper

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

1 tsp salt

1/2 tsp paprika (optional for color)

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or foil for easy clean-up.

Prepare the Wings: Pat the chicken wings dry using paper towels. This step is crucial to ensure they become crispy when baked.

Make the Marinade: In a large bowl, combine the melted butter, olive oil, lemon juice, lemon zest, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and paprika if using. Mix until well blended.

Coat the Wings: Add the chicken wings to the bowl and toss them well in the marinade until evenly coated. Let the wings marinate for at least 30 minutes for the flavors to infuse. For best results, marinate them in the fridge for a few hours or overnight.

Bake the Wings: Spread the marinated wings in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 40-45 minutes, flipping them halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy. For extra crispiness, broil them for an additional 2-3 minutes at the end, keeping a close eye to avoid burning.

Serve: Remove the wings from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley and additional lemon wedges on the side if desired.

Enjoy: Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce, such as ranch or blue cheese, and enjoy your homemade lemon pepper wings!
