Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) active dry yeast

3/4 cup warm water (110°F - 115°F)

1 tablespoon sugar

1 teaspoon salt

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, finely chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Activate Yeast: In a small bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until foamy.

Mix Dough: In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, salt, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil. Stir until a dough forms.

Knead Dough: Transfer the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.

First Rise: Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover with a kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).

Shape Breadsticks: Punch down the risen dough and roll it out into a rectangle about 1/2 inch thick. Cut the dough into long strips (about 1 inch wide).

Add Toppings: Place the strips on a greased baking sheet. Brush the tops with olive oil and sprinkle with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.

Second Rise: Cover the breadsticks with a towel and let them rise for an additional 20-30 minutes.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until golden and bubbly.

Garnish: Remove from oven, brush with more olive oil, and sprinkle with fresh parsley. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
