Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

1 medium onion, chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

4 medium potatoes, sliced thinly

2 cups mixed frozen vegetables (carrots, peas, and corn)

1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Salt and pepper to taste

1 teaspoon paprika

Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.

Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté for about 3-4 minutes until onions are tender and translucent.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the sliced potatoes, mixed vegetables, cream of mushroom soup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and paprika. Mix until well combined.

Layer half of the potato mixture in the bottom of a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.

Spread the cooked beef and onion mixture evenly over the potato layer.

Top with the remaining potato mixture, smoothing it out with a spatula.

Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes.

Remove the foil, sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top, and return to the oven for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.

Let the casserole sit for about 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
