Ingredients

1 cup dried hibiscus flowers

2 cups water

1 ripe pineapple, peeled and chopped

1 banana, sliced

1 cup coconut yogurt (or regular yogurt)

1-2 teaspoons honey or agave syrup (optional, to taste)

½ cup ice cubes

Mint leaves for garnish

Instructions

Begin by making hibiscus tea. In a pot, bring 2 cups of water to a boil.

Once boiling, remove from heat and add the dried hibiscus flowers. Let them steep for about 15-20 minutes.

After steeping, strain the hibiscus tea into a bowl, discarding the flowers. Allow it to cool to room temperature.

In a blender, combine the cooled hibiscus tea, chopped pineapple, sliced banana, coconut yogurt, and honey or agave syrup.

Blend on high speed until smooth and creamy. If the mixture is too thick, add a little more hibiscus tea to reach the desired consistency.

Add ice cubes to the blender and blend again until the ice is crushed and evenly mixed in.

Taste and adjust sweetness if necessary by adding more honey or agave syrup.

                Prep Time: 10 minutes | Total Time: 30 minutes | Servings: 2

                  - Presentation Tips: Pour the smoothie into tall glasses and garnish with fresh mint leaves on top. You can add a slice of pineapple on the rim of the glass for an extra tropical touch.
