Ingredients

2 cups fresh spinach

1 cup kale, stems removed

1 ripe banana

1 green apple, cored and diced

1 cup almond milk (unsweetened)

1 tablespoon chia seeds

1 tablespoon almond butter

Juice of half a lemon

1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup (optional)

Ice cubes (optional, for a colder smoothie)

Instructions

Prepare the Ingredients: Start by washing the spinach and kale thoroughly. Remove the stems from the kale and set all leafy greens aside.

Blend the Greens: In a blender, combine the spinach, kale, and almond milk. Blend on high until the mixture is smooth and vibrant, about 30-60 seconds.

Add the Fruits and Seeds: Next, add the ripe banana, diced green apple, chia seeds, almond butter, lemon juice, and honey or maple syrup if you prefer a sweeter smoothie.

Blend Again: Blend the mixture again until all the ingredients are well incorporated and the smoothie is creamy. If you prefer a cooler smoothie, add a few ice cubes and blend until smooth.

Taste and Adjust: Give your green smoothie a taste. Adjust sweetness with more honey or maple syrup if desired. You can also add more almond milk if you like a thinner consistency.

Serve: Pour the smoothie into glasses and garnish with a sprinkle of chia seeds on top if desired. Serve immediately and enjoy!
