Ingredients

1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil

4 large garlic cloves, minced

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)

1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1/2 teaspoon dried basil

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese (optional for a cheesy flavor)

Instructions

In a small saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium-low heat.

Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes. Sauté for about 2-3 minutes or until the garlic is fragrant and slightly golden. Be careful not to let it burn!

Remove the saucepan from heat and allow the oil to cool for a couple of minutes.

Stir in the lemon juice, dried oregano, dried basil, salt, black pepper, and Parmesan cheese (if using).

Let the sauce sit for at least 15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.

Once ready, drizzle the garlic sauce over your pizza before baking it, or use it as a dipping sauce for the crust.

Prep Time: 10 min | Total Time: 25 min | Servings: Makes enough for 2 large pizzas
