Ingredients

4 bone-in pork chops (about 1-inch thick)

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/2 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko)

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon paprika

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

1/4 cup olive oil

1 tablespoon butter

Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

Prepare the Pork Chops: Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture. This helps in achieving a nice sear. Season both sides with salt, pepper, and paprika. Set aside.

Make the Coating: In a mixing bowl, combine the grated Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, minced garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined, ensuring the garlic is evenly distributed throughout.

Coat the Pork Chops: Drizzle olive oil over each pork chop, coating both sides. Then, press each chop firmly into the breadcrumb mixture, ensuring they are fully covered and the mixture adheres to the surface.

Cook the Pork Chops: In a large skillet, heat the butter and 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the pork chops to the skillet in batches (avoid overcrowding). Cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and reach an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).

Finish Cooking: If your skillet is oven-safe, you can place the skillet in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for another 5 minutes to ensure thorough cooking. If not, just continue cooking on the stove until done.

Garnish and Serve: Once cooked, remove the pork chops from the skillet and let them rest for about 5 minutes. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges on the side for an extra zing!
