Ingredients

4 bone-in pork chops (about 1 inch thick)

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 cup panko breadcrumbs

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon dried Italian herbs (oregano, thyme, basil mix)

1 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon salt

2 large eggs

2 tablespoons milk

Olive oil (for frying)

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

Prepare the coating station: In one bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk. In another bowl, combine the grated Parmesan cheese, panko breadcrumbs, minced garlic, Italian herbs, black pepper, and salt until well mixed.

Dredge the pork chops: Dip each pork chop first into the egg mixture, allowing excess to drip off, then coat it generously in the Parmesan and panko mixture, pressing firmly to ensure the coating adheres well.

Heat the oil: In a large oven-safe skillet, heat about 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.

Sear the pork chops: Add the coated pork chops to the skillet, being careful not to overcrowd the pan. Sear the chops for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.

Finish in the oven: Once the chops are seared, transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C) and the pork is cooked through.

Rest and serve: Remove from the oven and let the pork chops rest for about 5 minutes. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley before serving for an extra pop of flavor. Enjoy your crispy, flavorful, and irresistible Garlic Parmesan Crusted Pork Chops!
