4 bone-in pork chops (about 1 inch thick)

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Juice of 1 lemon

Olive oil for cooking

Season the Pork Chops: In a small bowl, mix together the salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, and red pepper flakes. Rub this seasoning mix all over the pork chops and let them sit at room temperature for about 15-20 minutes.

    Prepare the Garlic Butter: In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Add the minced garlic and gently sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant but not browned. Remove from heat and stir in the lemon juice and chopped parsley. Set aside.

      Heat the Pan: In a large skillet, heat a drizzle of olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the seasoned pork chops to the skillet.

        Cook the Pork Chops: Sear the pork chops for about 4-5 minutes on each side, until a nice golden-brown crust forms and the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).

          Add Garlic Butter: Pour the prepared garlic butter mixture over the pork chops in the skillet during the last minute of cooking, allowing it to coat and flavor the meat.

            Rest and Serve: Once cooked, remove the pork chops from the skillet and let them rest for about 5 minutes. Serve warm, drizzled with the remaining garlic butter and garnished with additional parsley if desired.
