Ingredients

2 lobster tails, halved lengthwise

1 cup sea scallops (about 8 large)

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

1 teaspoon lemon zest

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

Salt and black pepper, to taste

Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Prepare the Lobster: If your lobster tails are not already halved, use a sharp knife or kitchen scissors to carefully split them in half lengthwise. Remove any tomalley (green substance) if present.

Sear the Scallops: In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Season the scallops with salt and pepper, then add them to the skillet. Sear the scallops for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they develop a golden crust. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

Make the Garlic Butter Sauce: In the same skillet, add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter. Once melted, stir in the minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute. Make sure not to let the garlic burn. Add the lemon juice, lemon zest, and smoked paprika, stirring to combine.

Combine Lobster and Scallops: Place the lobster tails cut-side-up in a baking dish. Arrange the scallops around the lobster. Pour the garlic butter sauce over both the lobster and scallops, making sure everything is well-coated.

Bake: Transfer the baking dish to the preheated oven. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the lobster meat is opaque and scallops are cooked through (internal temperature should reach 145°F or 63°C).

Garnish and Serve: Once done, remove from the oven and sprinkle with fresh parsley. Serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side for an extra zesty kick.
